Occupational Health and Safety - 1.5 Days
Description
This training, as legislated by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is designed for workers in workplaces of between two (2) and nine (9) employees. Such workplaces must have a Worker Representative, who is chosen by his/her coworkers. The worker health and safety representative will meet with a management representative on a regular basis to identify and resolve health and safety concerns in the workplace. In workplaces of between two (2) and six (6 ) workers a designate may be used if it is impractical to have a worker representative. The designate may be a manager or employer. This program is designed to give Workplace Health and Safety representatives and Designates the basic knowledge they require under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Evaluation: There is no examination at the end of this training. Participants will receive certificates directly from the WHSCC.

This training session is information based and as such, has no written evaluation component. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
